KWC’S Youth Photography Foundation
Our non-profit Youth Photography Foundation allows us to continue giving NYC’s children access to the art of photography and to develop a safe space where they can express themselves creatively. With your generous contribution, we can continue to obtain supplies, cameras, hire staff and more as we serve children from all backgrounds and socio-economic means.
MISSION
To bring the art of photography to as many children of NYC as possible.
OUR WORK
A team of passionate and inspired professional photographers and educators, we aim to bring access to the art of photography to children across all five boroughs of New York City. We partner with programs to bring unique photography curriculum and DSLR cameras to children. Each student leaves a KWC program with their own portfolio of photographs they have taken.

A Letter From Our CEO

Hi Friends!
I are writing to inform you of some of Kids with Cameras’ achievements over the past few months and to share some great news regarding our latest venture.
Initially, Kids with Cameras started in 2021 amidst the backdrop of the pandemic, with a small group of kids in Central Park. Recently, our initiatives have expanded to include classes in after school programs (PS 87), establishing in-school curriculums (Summit Academy Charter School) and partnerships with nonprofit organizations (Homes for the Homeless and Praxis) and museums (Children’s Museum of Manhattan) throughout the city.
In particular, our partnerships with the nonprofit organizations has been rewarding in a multitude of ways: enlightening us on the daily challenges faced by many kids in our city as well as highlighting the limited art and photography resources available in our schools. With the intent of expanding our reach to similar organizations and to address the limited opportunities and resources available, Kids with Cameras has been working quietly behind the scenes to create our very own nonprofit organization.
We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Youth Photography Foundation Inc. We have created an organization where all of our educators are hand picked to ensure that they radiate warmth and kindness towards our little photographers, for the purpose of giving NYC’s children access to the art of photography and to develop a safe space where they can express themselves creatively. We hope that by giving them the opportunity to explore and make art using a camera, inspires them for a lifetime.
